Kaiaua

Kaiaua is a renowned fishing town with a relaxed, country vibe.  This picturesque seaside town is home to a magnificent 800-year-old pūriri tree and is also a summer holiday destination.

Overlooking the Firth of Thames, it is the perfect spot to watch the Southern Hemisphere’s magnificent sunrises and sunsets. Grab some world-famous fish and chips or enjoy a rolled ice cream on the shorefront and soak in the serenity

There's a lot to see and do in the area, book ahead to check out the Rangipo Pa site museum which is located south of Kaiaua. The 100 year old handsawn Kauri woolshed museum displays orginal artefacts and equipment from the Rangipo Station.

With a stunning coastline, beautiful parks to explore the native bush and a growing community of artists and painters, Kaiaua is a destination you'd be sorry to miss.
